metaBeratung GmbH privacy statement

We, metaBeratung would like to provide you with detailed information on the processing of your personal data (“data”) in compliance with Article 62 of the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU (EU-GDPR). 

The EU-GDPR requires us to meet to a number of reasonable obligations to ensure the protection of your data during processing. We are happy to meet these obligations.

In the following, we would like to explain which personal data we process for which purpose, and point out your rights in this respect.

 

Purposes of processing

The processing of your data is required for the settlement of contractual services. 

We process your data for the following purposes:

-> according to Article 6 sect. 1b) of the EU-GDPR, based on the contract you entered into with us:

  • Collection of address data for preparation of invoices for services rendered
  • Collection of address data for maintaining our CRM system
  • Provision of login data for participation in online assessment and testing

or if your employer has not concluded an agreement for contract data processing with metaBeratung GmbH

-> according to Article 6 sect. 1a) of the EU-GDPR, based on your consent:

  • Sending of interesting information about products and activities
  • Collection of address data for preparation of invoices for services rendered
  • Collection of address data for maintaining our CRM system
  • Provision of login data for participation in online assessment and testing

 

 

Transmission to third countries

For the provision of our services, the information is stored at, processed at and transmitted to locations within the United States, i.e. also to locations outside your country of residence.

EU-US Privacy Shield

As regards transmitting data from the EU, the European Economic Area, we apply a number of legal mechanisms, including contracts with our users. In relation to the collection, use and storage of personal data from the European Union, the European Economic Area, to the United States, we follow the provisions of the Privacy Shield Framework between the EU, Switzerland and the United States. Duration of processing

We only process your data as long as this is necessary in order to fulfill our contract or the applicable legislation, and for maintaining our relationship with you.

Business documents are stored for a maximum of 6 resp. 10 years based on the guidelines of the commercial code and the tax code.

As long as you do not object, we will use your data to maintain and intensify our trustful business relationships for mutual benefit.

Should you desire the deletion of your data, we will delete your data immediately, unless this is in breach of any legal duties to preserve records.

Your rights as a person concerned

Based on the EU-GDPR, you have the right to:

  • information on the processing of your data
  • correction or deletion of your data
  • restriction of the processing (only storage possible)
  • revoke the processing
  • data portability
  • revoke your consent with effect for the future

Communications or utilisation data

You can visit our Internet website without us finding out who you are. The only information we record for statistical and internal system-based purposes is your shortened IP address and the time of your visit, the amount of transferred data, the pages you visit, the site from which you accessed our website, and the browser you use. Should any of this information allow us to draw conclusions regarding any personal details, this information is, of course, subject to the rules and regulations of data privacy. The data will not be personalised.

Obtaining personal data

We use and process the data we obtain solely for order processing purposes and to process your enquiries and requests. Personal data refers to individual details concerning personal and factual circumstances such as your name, address and email address. We will only take this information with your voluntary and explicit agreement, and by doing so indicate that you agree to our using and processing it. To us it is a given that we only take the minimum information required to provide these offers. If we ask you for any further details, then this will be only be as an aid to communication with you or to improve our service.

E-mail contact

If you provide us with your email address, we will also communicate with you by email. If you no longer desire to receive such information you can, of course, withdraw your consent at any time. In this instance, please send a short message to the postal or email address provided.

If you wish you contact us by email, please note that we are unable to guarantee the confidentiality of any information you provide. There is a chance that the content of emails may be seen by third parties. We therefore advise that any confidential information only be sent by post.

Comments and contributions

If you add any comments to the blog or provide any other contributions, your IP address will be saved. This is for our safety in the event of anyone posting illegal content in comments and contributions (insults, illegal political propaganda etc.). If this happens, we could be held accountable for the comment or contribution, and would therefore be interested in the author's identity. However, the IP addresses of any comments are deleted as soon as we have read them, usually on the same day.

Newsletter

If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter, please enter your full e-mail address where the newsletter should be sent to. Please also state your pre- and surname (mandatory). With entering your e-mail address, you give us your consent that we are allowed to use it for our regular newsletter mailings so you will be up-to-date with any news around our services we offer.

By confirming receipt of the first automatically generated e-mail for your newsletter subscription as well as by opening any E-mail newsletter sent by us, the following data will be automatically transmitted to us: 

  • which subscriber has opened the newsletter or links contained in the newsletter (including number of clicks)
  • Time of subscription and potentially, if subscribers have signed off
  • potentially rejected e-mails (i.e. if an e-mail account is cramped or not existing)

These data will be used to manage our newsletter distribution. We will analyse them for statistical reasons to be able to adjust our services to our customers‘ needs. With subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to this. Your data will not be used for any other purpose nor will they be given to a third party. Of course, you have the possibility to sign-off of our newsletter subscription list at any time and to withdraw the given consent going forward. Please just click on the relevant link (sign-off) which you will find in the newsletter.

Cookies

We use cookies to improve our web offers. Cookies are text information files that your browser saves on your computer when you open one of our Internet pages. We use cookie technology in order to tailor our Internet pages to preferred areas of interest. If you want to prevent the use of cookies, you can configure your browser to reject them.
